What happens after 5 years?

After Year 6, you have the option to purchase the system at fair market value. In many cases, credits make the buyout very low — sometimes close to $1. Until then, the provider owns and maintains the system at no cost to you.

Will I own the solar panels?

Not right away. During the initial term, the provider owns and takes care of the system. Starting in Year 6, you can choose to purchase it.

What happens during a power outage?

Your system includes batteries, so you can keep using stored solar power even when the grid goes down.

Who takes care of maintenance or repairs?

The provider handles everything — monitoring, repairs, replacements, and insurance. You won’t pay extra for any of it.

Do I need good credit to qualify?

No credit is required. The program is designed so homeowners can benefit from solar without loans, debt, or credit checks.

Is $45/month really all I pay?

Yes. That payment covers the solar system and batteries. You may still see a small utility bill depending on usage, but the solar system covers the majority of your annual energy needs.

Do I still get a utility bill?

Yes, but usually much smaller. Most of the year, your system will generate enough energy to offset your usage, keeping bills low.

What happens if the panels don’t produce as much as expected?

The system is designed to match your energy needs. If adjustments are required, additional panels are installed at no cost.

What if the system is damaged or stolen?

The system is insured for the entire term — covering theft, fire, storm damage, and vandalism.

Can I exit the agreement early?

Yes. You can transfer it to the next homeowner, or after Year 6, buy out the system.

Can the agreement affect my taxes?

No. This is a service contract. The provider claims tax incentives, while you benefit from having solar and storage without upfront costs.

Why do you ask for 12 months of utility bills?

This ensures the system is designed correctly for your actual energy use and complies with IRS requirements.
